So I was NOT happy with the light out put of the DR650.Although it is alot better than alot of other bikes out there I wanted more.
Thought bout the Buel mod, but I had this old headlight sitting arround and when it was on my old 82GS750 it put out a prety good pattern with a 55/80watt H-4 bulb.
So I looked arround and bought a used housing and did a quick fit to the bike tonight.
I cut the stock beazl to fit the housing..
The front screen now sits about 3" higher. That should protect the GPS a little bit more.
Once I get it painted and fitted properly I should look not too bad, But I'm looking for more light...not a beauty contest winner:hr:
The whole assembly weighs maybe 2Lbs more......if that.

Not sure what to make for a guard, don't want to have too much extra weight. Was only going to get that heavy stick-on headlight protector. It's about 1/8inch thick and should stop kicked up rocks from smashing the glass.
