How many links does your TE610 chain have?

I was hoping someone could tell me how many links (or pins) their TE610 drive chain has? According to the manual it should have 112 but mine has 114 (which I assume includes the master link). I have very little room to adjust my chain for wear as from new the adjusters were nearly all the way back (luckily the chain has neverneeded much adjustment). Now I have tried to put on my nice, recently purchasedsupermotard wheels and I can't get the chain tight enough as the sprocket is even smaller (43T). I plan to remove 2 pins but I was curious if this was a mistake on my bike? Thanks.

Sent you a PM on this. Stock setup is 112 for SM and 114 for TE on chain. Stock Sprocket Setup is 15T and 45T for TE, 16T and 45T for SM.

I had a the 112 links and work for both45T and 43T with the 15T counter.

So yes just remove two links and it will work perfect.

Hello Franhoser,

Excellent, that makes sense. My shop manual does not mention this difference between the TE and the SM. I should be good to go tomorrow. Thanks for your help and your PM on this.
