Hi all,

Just ripped off my 09 exc plate holder in the first 3 hours of riding. Like didnt some one at KTM think about this.

Anyways, does anyone know exactly what electrical parts I need to wire this up. I've been told I'll need inline resistors but is one fit all for these.

Any help would be great. thanks.

I broke mine on the first ride as well. Only the small bottom part ripped off though. I made up a 1/8 abs backing plate for my plate with a 1/4 spacer. Then I heated the abs up with a heat gun to put more angle on the plate. Works great, I've made one for a friend as well.

If you are replacing the whole assy. most people order the euro spec tail section from KTM. I believe that it is pretty inexpensive. There are part #'s ect. over at KTMTalk.

3 hours:shock: It took me 7 hours to rip off my left turnind and plate mount. I hooked up a flush mount rear LED turnind I had laying arround the shop. It works but does flash at a quicker rate. In the past when switching to LED I have changed the flasher assembly to maintain the same flash rate. I am not sure if the brake/Tail light would need a resistor.

Like scottbc says I have heard that KTM hutt has the euro assembly which is supposed to be improved.

you can buy a led flasher through lordco if you need one. grote is the brand name. much cheaper than the top secret stuff the m/c specific companies want to sell you.

ktmparts.com has what you need

took 4 days to get it to my house and its a bolt on replacement

signals also come in orange and you need to splice the factory plugs to the wire but generally a pretty easy install

and they look great to

the plate bolts on under the tail light keeping it up out of the way but i used part of the factory metal bracket for some backing behind the plate
