Intro and Question

Hey all,
Couldn't see a spot to do intro, so here it is, briefly.
Since riding mx as a kid/teen in the prairies, I've gotten old and less inclined to hit the track. But with friends hitting the lower mainland trails to fish and camp, I've gotten the itch to get back out there.

Bonus if I can whip around town as well. So enter the dual-sport.

I'm looking at an 06 KTM EXC 400... But I've been hearing mixed things about dealing with ICBC with this bike. The bike was last registered in 2009 by the seller. He isn't sure if he has the original bill of sale or NVIS papers.

My questions is, should this be a simple paper transfer at ICBC, or am I likely to run into any problems with plating it?

Thanks for any advice or input. Looking forward to getting out there, and maybe meeting some folks on the forum.

cheers,
b

If he has the registration papers from ICBC, which he should, there should be no problems

If he does not have registration papers, tell him he will have to get copies from the local ICBC rep and you will be good to go.

If he cant supply the registration I would be suspect of it's legality on the road

Also check the vin with the rcmp http://www.cpic-cipc.ca/English/search.cfm
