jetting for 04 wr450

Just about to dig into carb and was wondering what jetting should i have

in the vernon /kamloops area? I have a yoshimura pipe and header,no snorkel,twin

air cleaner! What do these come with stock for jetts? thanks Los

Hi Los, great bike! Did a quick search for you & found info for a 2005 model WR450F. The general consensus is:



05' WR450 Jetting Guide for about 500ft above sea level

Average ambient temperatures: 40°F to 80°F

Main jet: 168
Pilot Jet: 48
Fuel screw (turns out): ZipTy - 1.5 turns
Needle model/Clip position: JD Red 5th clip
Air box: Snorkel out, "punch-outs" removed
Pipe: stock, plug removed


Average ambient temperatures: 60°F to 100°F

Main jet: 168
Pilot Jet: 45
Fuel screw (turns out): ZipTy - 1.75 turns
Needle model/Clip position: JD Red 4th clip
Air box: Snorkel out, "punch-outs" removed
Pipe: stock, plug removed

Thanks for that! So right now there is a 160 main, 65 starter ,48 pilot and 50 leak jet

Anyone have ideas that would be great. Looks like i should change the main to a

165 or 168??? cheers Los
