Kamloops Day Ride

Its been more than a few months since I have been on a bike, so this is my second ride of the year. Peter and I did an social distanced ride to and from the Noble Creek riding area. Many of you probably have not heard of Noble Creek, it is just North of Kamloops bordering the Lac du bois Grasslands. Simple EZ day ride to get the lay of the land.

I was up that way last year enroute through to 100 Mile to meet New York Mike. Nice country want to explore it more sometime..... soon lol.

DSBC has found a way to embed your TrailForks Area, Route, Trail etc Here is my first attempt using this day ride as an example

I did my ride by myself, was a nice afternoon however I did run into a few problems

Shift Lever on my bike has been giving me problems, the previous owner might be able to help me out I hope
Then the battery just upped and died, made for an interesting afternoon, stuck in one gear and no electric start

Here is my ride log, as I was by myself I took in on the careful side so you will notice a lot of turn arounds

When you ride a 12 year old Husky, every ride is an adventure

my 05 te450 was an all-time memorable scoot. It would overheat, boil and scald my upper left calf, as that was were the overflow was. It would also intermittently just quit. usually a fair ways from home, and late in the day as well. And burn valves and pistons, on a reliable schedule. Adventure, was not MY term for that bike.
