Lots of people seem to like the new KLR.I was thinking of getting the KLX 250s it would beeasy to get offmy leg when i crash any opinions on this bike thanks forany replies.

I do NOT have one myself, but I have gone for a ride with a guy that has one.
It does very well offroad, and seems okay for short stretches of highway even, as we rode about 10 kms of HWY to get to the old forestry road turn off.
He really likes his bike, and had not one bad thing to say about it.

I have one and love it ! A little underpowered during break in, but starts to loosen up around 750-800 km. I'm told they wake up with a pipe and jetting. I'm having tons of fun so far, you don't have to fight the bike or struggle, its so light and nimble. Only improvements I would like are a larger capacity gas tank and a kick start back up. Gas mileage is very good. I'll keep this bike for many years to come.

we bought my wife a 07 klx 250 last month, great bike nice and light, easy to throw around in the trails(when she lets me ride it!) great bike for the price.

I have an '07 KLX250 and I'm 5' 10" and 205 lbs and at stock height, I can *just* about put both feet flat on the ground. There is adjustment on the shock, and there is a lowering kit available... it was on one of the bikes at Spunky's.

my wife is 5'6" ish, when we bought the bike they softened the rear spring a bit and lowered the clamps on the front forks. this lets her touch nearly flat footed, and she can handle this bike nicely. not many choices for people that are under this height range. we just installed a pro circuit pipe, and that made a HUGE improvement!!

It's the same bike, the "H 7F" just means that it is a 2007 bike, as compared to an 2006.

Hi Carlton, I got an 07 in April. I'm a 5.7' woman, so I had the seat shaved so that now I can confidently put my tootsies on the ground. Also got a bigger fuel tank (huge plus) and just this week finally got my new Big Gun muffler put on with a little jetting work done. This makes a HUGE difference as it used to pretty much be a little pokey on the throttle. The 6th gear is great on the highway. I can cruise at 110 for about an hour before my teeth feel like they're going to fall out. It's fun in the trails too. A good all around commuter/weekend basher.

From all the positive replies i would say its a good little bike.I ended up with a drz i'am happy with it but it is abit heavy on tight trails.I see the new dualsport from yamaha and honda is dualsporting the 230 more choices is good. The 400cc and under is cheaper insurance and great for that 200 to 300 klm sunday ride.
