Eagle Mike has a very good reputation and I have never heard of him putting junk in the market. I have his fork brace.

The Eagle Mike kit is a http://www.schnitzracing.com/ 685 kit so it will work fine. Use a stock base gasket unless you want to go to a higher compression ratio - the supplied Cometic base gasket doesn't always seal.
