My '04 has 25,000 km. on it, the solenoid began acting up, so I priedit apart and cleaned up the dirty and pitted contacts. Has anyone else been having this problem at this low a milage? What is the price of a replacement if my homebrew repair doesn't last? Thanks.
I have buddy here in Prince Rupert that has the same problem and he is having a hard time finding a new solenoid. He did the same thing as you did cleaned it up and is looking for a new one.
Haven't talked to him in a while so don't know how he has made out so far.
