Hello everyone,

Had my high temp light come on the other day while in some slow traffic.
I noticed the fan never came on before the light came on.
when i got home i tested the fan by taking the wire to the fan and grounding it and the fan worked fine.I'm assuming i need a new thermo fan switch.I understand these are approx $75.00. Is there any problem just wiring the fan to be on all the time? I will do a proper repair over the winter.

The engine might not be get to it's proper operating temp with the fan on all the time. There is also the constant load on the electrical system to consider, not sure of the fan's current draw.

FYI the stator is running wide open anyhow, The regulator/rectifyer shuns anything over max wattage to ground. If it was me I would just wire in a switch and turn it on in slow traffic.

If you pull the termal switch you may be able to match one up at Lordco or Alder Auto, I am sure they didnt re invent the thermal switch for this bike so its worth a try

At most 25.00
