klx300r = duel sport ?

I have found a 2002 klx300r that is in good shape for $2500. Is this bike worth putting in the time and effort to get street legal? Owner is the first and unsure if it came with the NVIS ??

Good reveiws from articles but unsure of any shortcomings? Love the KLX250 but loads of cash reqiured.( needs mods)

Any input would be appreciated.

Someone told me that virtually all the KLX300 that Kenco sells are made street legal, so I would say it is worth doing.
