KTM 990 mods

Anybody out there have any tips on must have mods or aftermarket productsfor these machines.I have looked on Touratechs website and really like thegoodies there.

ktmtwins.com , Adventurers workshop and Black dog cycle works have quite a bit of aftermarket for these bikes too. Touratech carries a lot of products but I find their prices are absolutely nuts.

For someone more local, Alternate Cycle in Kamloops has a large portion of their website devoted to LC8 Adventures.

I hear one of the best things u can do with the 990 is to dump the FI and install a set of carbs.

Yeah the stories about the jerky FI character of the 990 are not exactly uncommon. I think the issues are more of an indicator of rushed FI tuning than anything else. But there's riders out there that say their bikes are fine -- so who knows?

i have a 990 efi. never had an issue with the efi unless going slow in a parking lot, so i don't ride parking lots:D i have ridden over 30,000 km in the past 2 years including a ride from bc to mexico and back and the bike ran flawless.

after market parts

wings exhaust lighter great sound and no more heat
blackdog skid plate
heated hand grips an must in the great white north
crash bars only necessary if you fall
