Lower seat

My Klr is a pretty good ride except that it's so tall and I'm only tall from the waist up. I'm just over 6ft but I got short legs. I've installed the lowering link and shorter side stand and its some better but I'd like a larger "footprint" The next step would be a lower hopefully more comfy seat.Any advice or experiences welcome.

Corbin makes a lower seat (about an inch).i haven't tried it myself so not sure about the monkey butt factor. Try KLR650.com

I've got the "Africa Single Dished Seat" which is about 2" lower than factory and itdoesn't make it easier to put my feet on the ground. The reason is that while the seat is lower, it is also wider, which spreads my legs a bit andmy KLR isstill as wide as it ever was. However, the seat is more comfy than the factory haybale. It also improved my riding position by moving me a bit closer to the handlebars and down a bit.

I found that dirt bike boots made it easier to reach the ground 'cuz they got thicker soles/heals than street boots.

BTW I have a progressive shock which raises the bike about 1" from factory and I'm on the shortish side (for a KLR rider) - about 5'7" ready to ride.

All I can say about Corbin seats is that people love them or hate them.
