LAST UPDATE July 19 2019

Some facts for C'nic Route Rider
  • C'nic route is as it reads, and is intended for Adventure Bikes and Newer Riders
  • COMPLETE route is about 350 Kms
  • NOT A CLOSED COURSE, these are all public roads so be aware of two way traffic at all times (some sections you will not see traffic for many Kms so don't forget)
  • FULL TANK OF GASS Make sure you start this event with a FULL tank, first gas stop is 180 Kms from the start (you will need to carry enough gas to cover this)
  • GAS First Gas stop is the PetroCan in Falkland this will also be a place you can get lunch
  • BAIL OUTS along the route so if you want or need to get back to camp the EZ quick way just follow the SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS on your Roll Chart
  • NAVIGATION will be by Roll Chart follow this link to follow for roll chart questions
  • ROLL CHART or GPS, it will be up to you to decide Roll Chart will have detailed instruction, GPX track will not. Recommend Roll Chart, as it provides a bit of a challenge
  • LUGGAGE, remove it, the ride will be long and hard enough without these strapped to your bike
  • GRAVEL, yes there will be lots of it, more than 160 Kms
  • TWISTIES, yes lots of back-road twisties, remember you might have aired down your tires so ride appropriately (slower than normal)
  • AIR DOWN learn to air down your tires, but don't forget to air up before highway speeds
  • RAIN GEAR, yes take some, if there is one thing I have learned about riding the high mountain roads around here, its that it can rain at any time
  • WATER, will be available at the START, take some
  • FOOD, we recommend that you take some food along with you just in case, there will be a light breakfast at the START
  • REPAIRS, take your own tools, there a few repairs you can make on the side of the trail, however flat tires are something you can learn yourself we will not be sending anyone out to help you, you are on your own
  • SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS, your roll chart will have SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS, make sure to read and understand them, mark up your roll chart if required

As always it is easier to ask questions here than the day of the ride
