making drz lowering links

What are lowering links worth for a drz400? I want to drop my dads bike for him (so he wont drop it so easy) If I knew the eye to eye dimension and thickness of material I'm sure I could whip some up. Thanks

Check out Kouba linksat http://koubalink.com/drzinstall.html . I have purchased a set for my KTM and they work well. There are lots of opinions out there about the links changing the suspension ratio but my opinion is that for the small change in the ratio you get a large change in riding pleasure.
