max bar risers on drz stock cabling

I used these ones

They raise the bar 1.5" and move them forward 1.375".
Expensive but they did the job. No problems with stock cable length or spacing.

Right now I am running a 40mm set of Tusk riders from Gnarly Parts on stock bars. The bend still isn't quite right for me, but for $25 these get it pretty close and cause no problems with stock cables and routing.

i had a 1.5" risers with CR high bend bars. They were comfy but the throtle and clutch was a bit tight. I would say anymore would've not worked. Take the stock bars off and throw them in the garbage too, they are made of silly putty.

I would call the stock bars margarine and the treated aluminum like cold butter. Alum seems better, but if there is a guy who will bend anything right away... It is me!
Franhoser, I have CR high bends as well... I find the high bend's hardly any rise for me @ 6'4" But, I love the feel they give, and would never give em up. What is the manufacturer of the 1.5" spacers used with your high bends?
Anyone know anything about the calculation of bar height, riser height, and max control height at all? I get the feeling it is an iterative process to find the max height for any particular bend. Is there riser sets with many different shim/spacer height variations?

I'm running the same bar risers as KidAgin and Renthal Jimmy Button Bend bars which are about the same height at the CR bend. I was able to add the bar risers alone and the cables were fine - no length issues. After adding the Button bars the cables were definitely too short HOWEVER, found someone on Thumpertalk that had turned the throttle cable mechanism on the bar around so they pointed down instead of up. This gained the extra length needed to make it all work with stock cables. The bar height is about perfect for me now standing on the pegs and I'm 6'2". If you want to go higher than this I would think you'd have to source longer cables.
I previously tried bar risers that go straight up instead of the ones that offset forward as well. Didn't work well for me. The bars seems high enough but too close to my body. I highly recommend the ones that offset forward as I feel it gives me more control over the bike. The downside is having to deal with readjusting all the dash items as there is less space between the bars and the headlight surround. It can be done however and it's worth it.

I also have the Tusk risers and they are great.
