Need the stock Dog Bones

My 04 KLR has the lowering links on the shock and I need some stock ones to raise her back up to at least stock height.

Willing to trade the lowering links to someone looking to "down size" theirs !!!

If anyone knows a guy who knows a guy with a set...shoot me a PM please.

If you can't find them they are easy to make. Use 1/4" by 1" steel flat stock 3ft costs about $5 you can make a few sets in different lengths. Look at a stock set, there is a number stamped on the side. On my 2008KLR it's 136-2. This means 136mm. from hole center to hole center. Use a 19/32 bit in a drill press or borrow one to make sure the holes are straight. Clamp 2 pcs together so they will be exactly the same.1mm this way or that is ok as long as they are the same. Finish with a jig saw or grinder to the "dog bone" shape. Wire wheel the sharp edges and tremclad whatever color you want.

Hey, i just had the same issue... trying to find the stock bones for my 03KLR. I finally found some at Spunky's in Parksville (google it). They probably have more used sets kicking around. Talk to Mike H. at Spunky's.
