New bike

Just got back from Holeshot Motorsports in Langley, where I put down a deposit on a 2010 DR650. Will take delivery next Saturday. :clap: Brian Bentley and the staff were GREAT to deal with.

Here she is...took ownership this morning!

Even got a little "break-in" dirt on her...
Can't believe how HIGH it is geared, I'm hitting 50mph in 2nd gear...I was too scared to shift into 3rd!

Congratulations :clap:, plenty of good info out there nowadays for whatever you want to turn a DR into. Sounds like your first impression will require a 14 tooth sprocket to improve offroad ridability and tone down those third gear fears. Unless you feel the need to reach 160 km/h plus it is the cheapest and easiest mod to do. Will dig up my links to standard DR info/stuff if ya need 'em.

Sure...I would appreciate ANY info you can pass along, including a source for a 14T primary sprocket for this 525 chain. I haven't been able to find one, but then again...I've only been looking at my usual ON-LINE sources.

Shouldn't be hard to find a 14 tooth sprocket locally, just make sure sprocket retainer doesn't interfere with chain. You may have to grind it down to a smaller diameter.
