New crf 250l owner/new dsbc forum member

Hello there dsbc members just thought I'd introduce myself after watching this forum.my interest in the forum came recently as I pick up my first real dual sport I hope tomorrow even..hard to find??i had to order this one..well coming off the crf450x and the Harley's should be a bit of a change.lol...
cant wait I've got onion lake (monkey wrench area) about 45 mins from the door.
Well I'll post my luck with the bike from new for a bit see if any prospective owners have any intrestOh ya I'm new to this stuff too never been on a forum before never really even looked so I'm sure I'm doing it all wrong

Welcome to the board, Buckshot77.
Many of us are big fans of the Onion Lake riding area, you're lucky to be so close.
We continue to do trail maintenance each year on the trails developed for our (now defunct) Dead Zone event several years ago.

Congrats on getting your hands on a 250L. I got mine in Aug of last year and love the versatility. My sport touring bike is getting jealous!

Talked to a dealer yesterday. He says they are hard to find...selling like hot cakes!

Added an fmf header/muffler and a fuel tuner.
The bikes awesome,lotsa fun.
not so shiny tho anymore,both the bike and I slid 20' on our sides down a rocky slope after endowing a 6' vertical drop halfway down a hill I probably shouldn't have been on.
i'll try to post a pic or 2
gotta bit to fix and I'm goin back!

its probably the size of it knock it down in size using paint , click on resize the Pixel not size then bring it down to under 1000

Hello,

I didn't see a new member thread, so I thought I'd follow Buckshot77's intro. Nice ride Buckshot. It looks like you're putting it through some fun stuff. I agree; you gotta love B.C.

I am new to dual sports or dirt biking. I took delivery of my CRF250L, that I have affectionately named Clyde, on Valentines day this year. A little valentine to myself. What a fun bike this is! I've put 6000 KM's on it so far. It's real practical in the city being high and so nimble, and once the tires were worn down a bit the highway handling improved markedly. But the real fun is taking it on the countless FSR's and rough tracks, into the wilderness.

I am just learning how to handle a bike off-road, so I am taking things a step at a time. Sometimes three steps I'm looking forward to learning more about routes and riding from this forum. I live in Kelowna. I'm 62 and REtired -- but not tired. I am always open to new adventures and ideas.

Since getting my hands on this bike (no small feat), I started a blog to record my thoughts on the bike, my riding adventures, and my progress in getting back into motorcycling after decades away.
