New fork seals?

ON my DR650 the forks started leakinglast fall. I thought i would try the ol "35mm film negitive trick".
I slid up the wiper seals , removed the thread- on fork cap to be sure there was no pressure in the fork, and proceded to insertthe film strip between the seal and fork tube. It was somewhat hard to get it down past the seal but I was able to get it in there. I worked the film strip arround the entire seal moving it up and down in a sawing action then removed it grabed a new strip and did it again. I did this 3 times with each fork . So far this year the seals still do not leak.
Maybe worth a try.

Thanks guys, I think will pick upa manual to help out. beats taking it to the dealer at $55 an hour. Did the sprockets,chain,oil filter and rear tire and tube last wknd. Those tires can be a real bugger:shock: Joker have you been out much lately? We found some pretty fun trails up towards pinitan lake but got lost in that big sh*tsunami last week.
