Well, i installed a Supertrapp slip on exhaust today, picked it up from BBY Kawasaki. Those guys are sure helpful. The bike sounds awsome, and hardly louderthen stock!! I am running it with 7 discs since i have stock jetting.

I love how it sounds with no discs but i guess that would cause problems with not enough backpressure?

Get more disks and play around. It's usually not worth rejeting as long as the bike Starts, idles, and runs strong with no flat spots. I would try 12 disks..

Skaha,do you have stock jetting?

The bike sounds so good when you open it up, I LOVE IT, i dont know why everyone says they are so loud? its just a lot deeper then stock.

And i dont have to worry about tweety!!

Hey Jeff

My original pipe was installed by Bby Kawasaki.......I am not sure whether they re-jetted the bike or not......whatever they did they did it right as I have had no problems with power on the bike.

We (SG Power) just installed a Super Trapp on an 05 KLR on Friday. Slip on pipe...sounded really good. The bike comes pretty lean from the factory so the tech was conserned about Jetting it, but with all the disc's in it...it never back fired (lean popped) once. Yes...I test rode it as well, sounds Ten times better than that stock POS it comes with....shook the shit out of the stocker but couldn't find that Cricket anywhere!!:D

Only issue was the left hand panel and the rear fender. Had to fit a spacer in there to keep from melting the plastics. Advised the customer to put some heat reflecting tape on the inside of the side panel to help out with it.

Was funny cause I'd just hopped off my KTM and onto the KLR...where's the power man???:hb:
