Can anyone tell me what I see more and more KLR riders mounting to their rear fender. I keep seeing (usually longer looking rides) guys with a mounting system and one or two bottles (clear or white) strapped on either side of the rear plate. Extra fuel?Water?Nitrous??(just kidding) hmmmm.I've seen several different riders from different parts of the globe with similar looking bottles so is this a kit?? There are examples in Mustexccs' Alaska '04-Saltery Bay photos and several on Kamloops site.

Thanx fellas....:hb:

I've seen them advertised for using them for fuel or extra water. If I had that set up think i's use'im for extra fuel as I have a good ol camelback thingamabob that holds two or three liters of water, can't remember.

Hey thanks for the site, those look cool but I was just thinking that two conventional bicycle cages ( aluminum)bolted to the rear fender with some big washers or steel backing would probably achieve the same effect?!?!?! I've had those on rigid mountain bikes and never lost a bottle!!:?
