Opinion on XT225?

Hi there - considering buying either KLX250 or Yamaha XT225. Just wondering if anyone has experience with either of these? Thanks in advance!

This is true, but it all depends on preference. I had the XT225. Reason, shorter seat height. what is the difference inweight? My bike never gave me any problems ( shouldn't have for new). I am sure they are both great bikes, but what fits YOU better?

There is a write up in the Adventure Motorcycle ( Dual Sport News ) Dec issue on the XT 225 if you are interested.

I have a xt225 and I have been able to go almost every where on it!

the klx is a better bike but I did pretty well keeping up to speed.

if you are on the island let me know and you can come check mine out! never had a problem with it!

Thanks for all your info. I've decided on the KLX 250. Little more hp,and a little nicer tech stuff. That, and seeing the big green fuel tank in the pic above really set me in. So, you'll all be seeing me next year on my new green machine. Now I'm off to sell my 650GS.

just so you know the big green fuel tank is not stock.

I think it was 200 bucks off ebay.

Green is OK but wouldn't you rather go ORANGE !!!!!!
