overheating

2003 KLX400R overheating

Anybody experienced the same? I am looking for solutions, I was initially thinking about changing the impeller of the water pump as I suspect it has not been change before, I bought the bike last year and did not ride it much, I am not sure the previous owner did anything concerning this... Cannot reach him.

If some of you experienced the problem please advise and let me know what you did to solve the issue.

I was also thinking about using some special high performance coolant.... anybody tried?

I have one of dem bikes and , other when i deserved it in Baja, it has never even considered overheating, i thimk that the 2003 vintage has had the water pump issue fixed as mine has never done the" pump seal leak". Areyou sure the fins are clear in the rads, correct plug being used, and most importantly , sure you're not too fat to fly.;}

Same reply as other thread, consider installing fan from S model.
