ordereda set of rad guards, come from my old stomping grounds in " MOUNT ALBERT" I'll be getting them next week, I'll tell you-all how it went:cool:

I just ordered the Flatland Racing ones for my KTM, I'll post some pics when they come in (should be this weekend I think). They make them for the DRZ here's a pic

i put my new rad. guards on,they took me all of 30 mins. they use the gas tank rubber mounts for extra strenght. The cost was just under $100Cdndelivered to my door by mail (made in Cdn) EH! they seem strong enough, More likely to out last me i bet.:hb:

I just installed my unibiker rad guards i ordered from tt as well, they took about 1 hr to put on taking my time and i can tell you they look good and are built very strong..:tup:

I went with the aluminum ones,to save a few bucks ! when i got them, i thought i should have got them in black ! i put them on the bike and was glad i went with the aluminum colored ones . i figure i can allways paint them any colour i want with one can of spray paint,because i have a klx 400sr and they did not come in green. but now that they are on im not taking them off just to paint them ! and like i said they look good anyways,and the paint will problably peel off sooner or later anyways with the heat from the rads ....I also just put on tt version of the cfc case guards ,They are on sale right now for $24.00 american ( a great deal for both sides) get them now while they are on sale .....i also just put in the extended fuel screw, and just ordered two new tires and tubes and a devol skid plate from the Dsbc store,i should have on the new tires and skid plate by next weekend !:D

I can hardly wait to see scottiedog ride his drz 400. A stick figure on a suzuki. His bike will never look like mine because he's a pretty boy that swaps out plastic when it gets scratched.

I ordered a set of rad guards from Kytech. They look pretty skookum and they're made in Canada so I don't have to worry about duty or anything, plus they were less expensive. http://www.kytechmachine.com/pages/accessories.htm

I got a set of case savers off eBay. CRC makes 'em. I was gonna get them from Thumpertalk but they wanted $24.99 US plus $20.00 shipping :shock:The CRC ones are the same. Just a quick update on the CFC case savers and Kytech radiator guards I ordered.



I ordered the CFC case savers off eBay and received them last week via parcel post. One got slightly dented in transit and when I told Tom at CFC about it he offered to replace it for free. Since the dent was very small and was hidden behind the brake lever I refused his kind offer. The quality of the product was excellent. Installation was a snap, although messy, and they look great. Fit and finish is top notch. When you tap on the cases now they produce a solid “thunk”. Hopefully they will protect as good as they look.



I ordered the radiator guards from Kytech Machine. They arrived in good order and looked pretty skookum. The aluminum is quite thick and sturdy. My only beef with the appearance is that the finish is rough, with the machining and stamping marks quite apparent. The install was straight forward and the instructions easy to follow, with one exception: there are two holes in the side of the guard that are used to mount the rear brace. The bolts are ¼ NC and are supposed to screw into these holes. The holes are way too small and I didn’t think the bolts were strong enough to cut their own threads. I ended up threading the holes with a ¼ NC tap and all was well, but you would think they would mention this in the instructions. The mounting is solid with no movement or vibration. A little plastic trimming is required for the side rad shields to fit. The attaching hardware is stainless steel.



All in all I would recommend both products as they offer good value for the money.
