Has anyone found a solution for KLR Monkey But? :mb:

If you've had some mods done to the stock saddle (upgraded foam or cover etc) then post it here.

Also, if anyone knows of a good Corbin distributor in BC with good prices on the Corbin dished or flat saddle replacement let us know.

Cheers! :hb:

Several friends have advised me to avoid the Corbin dished seat as they find that they are constantly sliding forward in bumps. A friend is visiting from Alberta at the moment and has a standard Corbin which looks good and comes well recommended as he does big miles and is also inseam challenged.

To prevent monkey butt it is hard to beat the old Gold Wing trick of using a sheep skin over the seat. Warmer in cold weather, cooler and drier in hot weather. Mine is just a small section which jams under the sides and under the front of the seat when needed. Ikea have them at a decent price.

As soon as I find a seat pan to buy or borrow, Lee Bunce will get a call as his seats come very well recommended. Check out the Yahoo KLR group for lots of info on seats.

I sent my original seat to Dr. Lee by Greyhound bus. Had the seat back by bus 5 days later. It was built to my specs, a little taller and wider than stock. Excellent seat!

Another great comfort improver for the KLR is HIGHWAY PEGS. Additionally they help to protect the rad and radtank when you go ass over teakettle.

How much did Dr. LEE charge for his handywork?

Is he changing the foam liner to a higher density padding or does he change the cover for the seat as well?

All he uses is the old pan. Give him a call. As I recall, it was a heck of a lot cheaper than a Corbin.
