Safety wiring spokes

I was reading a thread on "advrider" about a KTM rider who broke a front spoke and it jammed in his front disc and locked up his wheel. I am hearing that KTM has a bit of a problem with spokes breaking. To be on the safe side I went and zipped tied all the spokes on my front wheel. I checked all the spokes while I was at it and they all look good, and I gave them the "tuning fork test". Yep, they all ring at the same pitch, (well , pretty close, anyway). Have any of the other KTM riders out there is DSBC land had a problem with spokes breaking. I have got 9000 miles on my bike

You ride your bike hard you will break spokes. My DR650 I had to have the rear rim completely re-spoked broke a couple. I left my front rim too long and ended up having to get the rim welded then spending a 150 bucks to re spoke.

Not just KTM but even a GS1150, friend of mine in Africa had a very close call at 120km/h when he broke a spoke on the GS and the wheel ended up colapsed...! On the bright side the insurance is replacing the 1150 with a 1200GS....!
