Subframe strenghting for my 2009 KLX 250s.....Any suggestions?

So far, I've found what Neil did at klxforum.suncup.net • View topic - Broken subframe! and What "Redpillar" did at http://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum/klx-250s-71/beefing-up-subframe-31314/. I'm still looking around for other possible solutions others have come up with that work.

If anyone has others that worked for them please chim in.

Your links are not working for me.
I've seen someone on the kawi klx forums cut the top tubes, slide smaller pipes inside and weld it back up.
You might be better off asking on the kawi site.

I mounted a Cycleracks on my XR, which also have notoriously weak subframes. It looks a bit dorky but takes a ton of weight and effectively welds your rear signal light attachments down to the passenger pegs. Makes picking up the bike a lot easier and protects the rear end when I've dumped it. I think its a great solution, especially if you're into camping or carrying a bunch of gear/beer.
