Suzuki vs Honda vs Yami small dual sport comparison

Hi there I'm looking for advice on which would be the best way to go for the type of riding I'd like to do with a smaller enduro.

I've done the KLR 650 thing and now have a Wee Strom for the long distance 75/25 (pavement vs dirt) riding I like to do.

Now I want a lighter trail type street legal enduro that I can ride to explore the bush roads/trails (live in northern BC).

I like an older bike to keep the price down and the bike simple to run.

The mid '90's Suzuki 350. Yami 350XT and Honda 400 seem to be availalbe and in the right price zone.

What would your suggestions be?

I'd also like to use the bike for some extended week long+ back country rides so fuel and luggage capacity are a consideration.

I'm sure this has been posted many times so if you can point me in the right direction I'd be most appreciative.

I have owned both the xt350 and the dr350. The dr wins handsdown. (In my opinion).
It is a six speed which is a huge plus if you want to take a cruise down the highway.
The suspension is better

On a down side , my dr was much harder to start than my xt350 was.

I have no experience with the Honda 400 so I have no comment.

I had an XT when I was younger, mid 90's can't remember the year but I destroyed it in short order trying to use it like a dirt bike. I found it weak in every aspect, DR or XR for sure.

I've done a bit more research and it looks like the DR350 is the way I'll go, with electric start (post '94).

Now to start saving the pennies.....
