taller bars?

i have 2003 drz 400e, I put CR hi -protaper 7/8 bars and a set of bar risers. The risers are made by a guy in manitoba and they put your grips up about 1 1/2 inches and then forwrd about 1 1/2 inches. You can get a set that just goes vertical and not forward if you want.
barrisersonline.com is the guys site. good deal at 90 bucks and 3 days in the mail(canada post). Not like t-talk 2 weeks to get to BC.
Check out their siteat barrisersonline it will come up on google. Good folks to deal with.
You will have to get slack from everywhere you can, mine did fit. Just make sure you start the old girl and check to see you have enough slack in the throttle cable so you don't get started out and have an incident!
You need to do alot of massaging of the controls on the bars but it should fit he has made sure of it. see the web site. Good luck, the best money I have spent on my machine was this mod because of control and comfort standing up. I can hit stuff on the back tire with very little effort. A little pull and body english and it goes over stuff like the old kdx 200 did! try it you'll be impressed.

I also have changed my bars, Acerbis taper CR tall bend. the bars are a little straighter and about 2 inches taller. The aluminum bars help cut the vibration from the motor too. Makes standing up on the pegs a pleasure and you stay there all day (if your legs hold out) This mod is a must if you still have the stock seat:mb:.

Successfully installed a set of "mini tall" Renthal bars, much taller, lots of dickin round to get everythin all on the bars, but it seems good now, am looking forward to getting in the dirt, the ride to work standing was great (finally), thx guys.
