Has anyone seen a brand new TE610 blow oil out of the filler cap before?

Any idea why its doing that?

I cleaned the o-ring and retightened the cap....it still leaks.

Not my bike, just asking for a friend.

Thanks

Not sure about a Husky, but if that happened on my bike it would be a pinched or plugged crankcase breather hose.

Now that would make a lot of sense. For a year I thought my KLR was blowing oil our of the Oil FIlter cap, but after reading this post, it looks like it is blowing out of the oil filler cap too. Better look at my crankcase breather hose.

Took it by the local Husky dealer today - seems that it was just over-filled but put a new o-ring on the filler cap as well just in case
The tech took a look at all the hoses and they seem okay
No longer leaking anyways so all is good!

Was it still too full after we lowered the oil level on Monday ?

Nope, the level was perfect after that.
Thanks for the "tip" :TTT:

I had the same issue with my bike.
Just had the 1000km service done and they cleaned out the breather hose. I hope doing that solves this problem for me also.:)

Same with me. Had to remove over 1/2 litre of oil to get the level right !

All you need is a bigger or fatter O ring in the cap. For some reason a few of them if the cap is torqued in to hard it pinches the O ring. It's an easy quick fix and less than 0.10 cents.
