The Federales Got Me

I got pulled over the other day on my DRZ 400 because I did't have any signal lights (or mirrors or tail lights:p).And I was just ridingalong minding my own business. I can fix the tail light and mirror problem but all my signal lights and lights controller on the handlebarshave been broken off in dirt crashes.

Anyway:

Anyone have any good cheap suggestions for signal lights instead of buying the oem Suzuki ones that are pretty expensive and the controller whichis stupid expensive.

I have got to get it inspected before they will let me ride on the street again.:(

If signals are installed they must be functional, ie, not all busted up. Either repair or remove.

I actually believed that arm siganls were legal. Turns out that is not the case. Just add fines and money

powderhound,

Check out this thread:

I've put these turn signals on my E model (actually KLX400R) and a friend's DRZ-S. Work great, have never broken in a crash (very flexible stalk) and cheap!

Thebest deal I've found for bar mounted switch controllers is from a guy that sells trials gear out of his garage in Coquitlam (!) but I can't remember the name and no longer have the number. Mountain Man parts or some such... Anybody know who I'm talking about? The guy's house is near Como Lake and Thermal. Something like $20 for the switch. The one I used is by KLS (I think...) and was around $75 from Burnaby Kawasaki (talk to Manny).

Hope that helps,
Dave

If the vehicle was manufactured after January 1, 1974 it must be equipped with signal lights. If the lights are broken then they must be repaired not removed.

Are you a man in the know, about road rules and laws? ;)

Just had to hassle you today SPC and give Joker a break for a day from my constant hassling.

I will go back to annoying Joker soon, and leave you alone again.
