To all;



In total I have received over 30 emails in support of 5th
Gear and the Husqvarna brand. I have copied each of you on this email
and want to thank you for your support in Husqvarna Motorcycles.



My job is to take the Husqvarna brand to the next level. Up until this
point there has been no support network for the brand here in Canada. I
do have some experience with this as we have done the same for Arctic
Cat; Triumph; KTM; and a couple smaller manufacturers Husaberg and
Aprilia.



Over the next 5-10 years Husqvarna will become one of the leading off
road motorcycles in the world. It is quite clear that BMW has put its
target logo on the sites of another European brand.



In order to accomplish this I have decided to partner with dealers
throughout the country. As of today we are at 14 dealerships.

I truly understand your loyalty and support of your dealer of
choice. In many cases I cannot influence that. Not everyone is going to
agree with our decision as to who the best dealership to represent the
Husqvarna brand is.



I wish 5th Gear Motorsports the best going forward.
Unfortunately they did not meet the criteria needed to become an
official Husqvarna dealership.



All street legal bikes sold at official Husqvarna dealerships
come with a 2 year warranty. All competition models come with a 6 month
warranty. This applies to Canadian imported bikes only; not via the USA.

won't be the first time! oh well,I'm over it all ready. actually,I have no idea how that even got to me,as I don't recall,having any contact with the barrett marketing group. I wish good luck to all the dealers,as I know first hand what a hassle getting husky parts has been in the past.this did not reflect very well on them,and it possibly was beyond their control.hopefully the future is much more through,and organized in the husky world. especially now,as a street legal,offroad/race ready M/C is what a lot of us are after.

I sure love my brand new 08 SM 610, still breaking it in. But I wouldn't want to pay another 4000$ plus for a 630.

I got the same e-mail to from Barrett. The funny thing is that my e-mail was not in support of any-one and did not mention 5th gear at all. So I have to wonder if they even bothered reading it at all. :gaah:

North,that's the same thought i had when i got that email. one notch short of spam! obviously a blanket email,but i did reply directly with my thoughts to josh barrett,and he thanked me for my input. husky builds a good tough bike (and their ace in the hole is street legality in bc ) i will be watching this company very closely in the future,as i have a soft spot for underdogs/orphans. it may be in my head or maybe in my heart, i'm really not sure?also i wonder if they can make up the ground that they have lost to orange crush.

Hi,

Maybe people already know this, but I talked to Island BMW in Victoria and they aredefinitely nowstockingcommon Husky parts andbikes, and will be building inventory and can get parts. They told me they also have a very knowledgeable mechanic for Huskys. I have not been in there yet as I live up-island so I don't know if they have bikes in stock. I have no complaints about 5th Gear and in fact I like them a lot, and I really hope they will remain in the picture as I have gained a lot of knowledge and support from them. However, I am glad that we now have a dealer closer to home. It was the same for KTM for me, and for that matter BMW years back when they first came to the island. The more shops the better for your brand of choice, but I feel badly for those that get squeezed out because they may not meet the company ideal (Reminds me ofShail's BMW years back).

My only goal was to provide a response to all those that took the effort to send me a note (approx 30-35) with opionions and support of Husqvarna.

As the brand has not had the greatest reputation for support up until now it is my job everyday to fix that.

Keeping in touch with the enthusiasts is the only way I know how to do that.
