Tires for the TE610

I have a Mitas 130-80-18 on the back. It's fine on the road and wears well. But off road I am not happy with it. It's slides on the rocky stuffand does not bite into the loose stuff unless I sit on the back of the seat.

I am thinking about going to a Dunlop 606.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Can't go wrong with the pirelli mt21's either. I really like them on the front but the rear is not bad either. Bit cheaper than the D606. Call Western Motorsports in langley, a month ago when I was cheking aroundtheir tireswere 20% for one tire and 25% for a set. They also have a sale in March for like 40% off tires.

I think I will try a D606, than if it still does it. I will focus on the suspension.

Oh, and I did go faster.:tup:And the PSI was higher. But not at 30.

Nuttin' like a good tire thread, you will hear it all and in the final chapter, the tire you want will be on sale..... then you will profess to the masses that you love this tire and it is one of the best you have ever used. Two sets later you will decide that this tire seemed great on the first rear then the second rearjust didn't seem to perform/last as long as the first one. Whereupon you will be thrust into the deep tire decision crevasse once again to await enlightenment. My philosophy has become to try many multiples of tire choices, and neverstop trying. I find that most are great in the first 1000Km, after that they all start to have issues, but perform flawlessly on dry pavement from that point on:):).

The easy way to buy.

What was your best memory or funnest moment on your bike off road ? on road?

Now buy the tire were you have the most fun.

I run dirt knobbies , love hill climbs.

That would be when I was 20 and a riding a friends Kawi 350 big horn in Thunder Bay. I was doing jumps in a shale pit and I was pretty stoned.

I ened up separating the front end from the rest of the bike and breaking my Collar bone.
