Well what a pain in the neck. The brain sez lets go but the baud is screeming no. Ill be packing ice all weekend instead of packing my bike. I really wanted to do this trip but I will have to pass this year as I'm not able to ride longer then half an hour. I get to see a doc next week and hopefully find a way back for my back (ugh, I hate getting old)

Hope you heal up soon... Riding is good therapy but not for a sore back or neck when your bucking a constant wind from Seattle to Northern Van Isle...

Talked to Islandhopper earlier tonight :talk:and came up with a sign plan to help DS's

to get to the campground.Looks like we could be the first people at the campground.

We will nail 1ftx2ft signs to what ever along the way on the Zeb road with "DSBC" with an arrow on them to show directionsto go...signs will be...you guessed it,painted blue.:clap:

Renov 8 left me a message that the spot I had in mind at Anutz campground is taken...

Head in towards Anutz as originally planned and we will put up markers and pointers if the campsite plan has to change....

So if Anutz campground proves to be full we will use Atluck lake campsite as an alternative....

To reach Atluck you still turn off the HWY at the Zeballos cutoff and instead of turning at the Anutz lake signs you continue straight through towards Zeballos... Continue on the road until you come to a Y junction. Take the right at this Y, stay on the mainline and it will take you to Atluck campsite {left goes to Zeballos}...

Take the right at this y, it is [or was] well marked a few months back....

So, First night a huge success. To confirm we are all at Anutz Lake. Bug Spray is huge...Campfire Ban across whole north Island is in effect today Friday. Heading back out with a lower geared bike and better tire suited to the famous

LORD of THE RINGS ride. We are heading out to Zeballos for the morning ride...

Lots of fun to be had.
