There are definitely some issues with crappy running 08 TEs floating around the net right now. I think a lot, but not all, of them are owner induced. A lot of people are untder the impression that the screw on the right side of the throttle body is an idle screw. Yes, it will change your idle, but it is a mixture screw first and foremost. Everything you fiddle with that screw you are throwing the whole EFI system into confusion as you are changing the TPS settings.
Please make sure you do not fiddle with that screw because no matter what is done to the ECU wont change the fact that the TPS is messed up. If you have changed it, you really need to get the bike hooked up to the I-Beat and have the TPS reset.
If you dont have a dealer nearby, turn the screw in all the way and back it out 2.75 turns. This will get you "pretty close" to an ideal TPS setting. I have talked to a few guys lately who have that screw set anywhere from 3-6 turns out.
Please feel free to contact myself or my tech, Rob, if you have any questions about your EFI system.
