How much for the 450, 510 & 610? There's quite a buzz about these bikes? What's the service schedule like on them? Do you have to adjust the valves like say.....every 60 hours or so? What about mileage on the engine? I'm looking to get a new dualsport and so far am leaning towards a Husaberg, but I can get a really good deal on a Gas Gas EC 450 FSE as well. I might just pop over on the ferry and come check out the shop one of these days:hb:

There is lots of info on Thumper talk on the Husky forum about the new breed of bikes that Husqvarna makes. Most are very happy with them. Also lots of info about the Gas Gas and Husabergs. If you go to TT, check out the first thread about aftermarket products for the new Huskys, its quite extensive, lots of stuff if you want to make it tricker than it already is!

You can't compare the Husky's maintenance to the other brands. They last about 5 times longer than a KTM or most the other Jap bikes. The 610's are serviced every 10000 km. The 510's serviced every 10 to 50 hours depending on your riding style.

We have about 10, 510 SMR's out there that are going on to there 3rd season of motard racing with no problem's at all. Motard runs the hell out of a bike. You hold it wide open in 5th pull in the clutch and down shift to second letting out the clutch and backing it in. Now repeat for 3 to 5 hrs about once per week and fill in the rest with commuting to work.

Every KTM that has came to the track has had some sort of failure , most the CRF's are not far off the trans don't hold up. Yamaha and the DRZ's seem to hold up but not as good as the Husky's. This isn't a sales pitch it's just the way it is . These bikes are built tough.
