Hey all, just a quick line for those of you with 08 and 09's, last week I was in at our local Kawasaki dealer (Neids) and had Liam order my stuff for this recall, I let them know that there are a few guys that would likely need this done. Long story short they called me this morning and they have 12 recall replacement kits in and are booking bikes in for repair starting next Tuesday. Mine is already booked so I can get my sticker for the following day. Just thought I would let you guys know.

Thanks,

Mine's in now.

Don't forget the signal lights if your bike was on the recall list.

Were the signal lights not from another recall? or are they all part of the same notice? because I don't remember it saying anything about them.

Sorry, it was a different recall. It was just some KLRs and it was from last fall. I just meant that everyone might as well get all of the work done at once. If you need it.

Ha, OK Proudman I thought I might have missed one or something, I had heard of a tail light recall but I never did receive a letter stating that my bike was effected and was starting to second guess myself. I spent about 30mins looking through my records checking it out ROFL. Anyways you make a great point if the bikes are in at the shop those of us that need it done should get it done.

I took my bike to Neid's today and asked about the signal light recall. I was told that this one only affected a limited number of bikes, depending on the VIN. They'll check your VIN to see if the bike falls into that group, just in case you didn't get the notice. Hope this helps.

"I took my bike to Neid's today"

Hey Chuck, thanks for the update. I was also in at Neid's, but in the am dropping off my bike. I talked to Liam about the lights and He said that he would look at my VIN # as well to see if my bike was effected and would repair if needed since he had those items in stock as well.
