This is mine. It's a B&B Offroad. Unlike the Ricochet, this thing does not vibrate and give off engine noise, as it comes with insulation strips between the frame and the skidplate, and it's mounting points are more secure, using the rear motor mounts as attachment points at the back, and allen bolts up at the front on the frame. It is made specifically for the WR250R/X.

This thing is tough as nails and installs in 10 minutes.

You beat me to it, I was going to say the same thing, but the next picture speaks a thousand words ! That's the way we like to see our bikes ! I have a Scorpion racing skid plate on my WR250F and it works great !

Hey I am so excited! I COULD SHOUT FROM THE ROOFTOPS! I am waiting not so patiently for my wr250r to arrive. I think I am more excited for the the new arrival than I should be. :) I have been riding a while but mostly on big bikes this one should be just what the dr. ordered. I have have hardly ordered any farkles yet but am thinking heated grips and bark-busters and will likely make my own skid plate and rear rack. What kind of milage are you folks getting? Is an aftermarket tank necessary for a day on the trails?

Congrats on your pending wr250r!
$5 of gas will take you for hours of trail riding. I think an aftermarket tank's capacity is more for adventure or desert rides. However, the Safari tank does offer tremendous radiator protection, so may be worth having for that reason alone. Provided you don't fill it full, it carries the fuel a bit lower than stock too.
Bark busters have saved me from a lot of damage, skid plate has some nasty dents on it too, so probably a good thing I have it. Some people here can make these bikes go anywhere a KTM can. Sadly I'm shaking off perpetual rust, so often happy to make it home alive with bike more or less intact. Adam

Fuel use on the trails will not be an issue. The only time I carry extra fuel is on the longer dual sport rides, such as the east side of Harrison from the Saquatch inn to Pemberton. I hit reserve about 10 Km before we hit the pavement. I carry a 1 Imperial gallon jerry can strapped to my rear rack.

That is good to know, I will hold off on the bigger tank for now. I was thinking of making the rear rack with small sides. On the right it will protect bags from the exhaust and pack a small tool roll and on the left I will incorporate a way of holding a 1.5 gal rotopax or koplin jug. Now when is the wee one showing up...I am ready now.

A day on the trails, no. If you have to ride to and from the trails or do a lot of logging roads exploring? Yes. FWIW, the IMS 3.1 Gallon gives about 300k to a stock bike, it puts to rest the ping you feel when the low fuel light comes on. I found this especially if you're riding on the island or interior and gas stations are every 80 k or so. What I liked is the larger IMS tank is cheap(ish) and allows me to swing a leg over the bike in the really rough stuff w/o having to get a leg over a rear rack. I guess it depends on what you are using the bike for.
I've been really happy with mine, but of course YMMV.

I picked up the bike earlier in the week. It looks great. I am leaving town for a few weeks but anticipate a lot riding real soon after my return. :)
