I tried a acc plug but the shakes of the bike made it useless on the bike, this time abound I am going right off the battery with a garmin supplied setup with a usb type end.
GPS Central has a load of options for connections as well. The BMW type accessory plug is mu;ch better and way more shake proof.

Cambodia for the first two weeks was working in high heat and humidity. The days were basically eat work eat sleep and repeat. Now I am on a beach and having a much more relaxed time soaking up the rays with an ocean breeze, very nice. Not as nice as swatting bugs around the picnic table in the great white north but tolerable. One of you guys promised I would have dry clear roads to ride in the first of April does it still look that way.
After spending a little while here it seems like a great place to do a little riding, :hb:, any one interested in doing an Inuvik extension maybe in a year or two.....I will pick up the first beach round. Beer is cheap here 50 cents gets you a big one and a room is 6.00 a night, dinner is 3.00 life is good, for anon-local at least.

I'd give my left nut to get back over there and do some exploring on more than a rented bike. Sleeping in the hammock on the deck, waking to a dip thirty feet away, needing only a pair of shorts. that life seems so far away these days.
I will not be heading to Houston until early April, got some business meetings next weekend. Seems like spring may be a ways away anyhow.
Knock a couple back for me, and the rest of us poor saps. :hb:

Dirt-bike riding in Cambodia is great. Honda 250 Baja with electric start and a guide to take you into the country side ---it doesn't get any better. I can get you in contact with a guide out of PP if you are interested. I have been riding there 3 time for 8-10 days each time.

Whats with this DrBike guy I go to California for a couple of weeks and he sneaks off to Cambodia.
Who's minding the store,pullin teeth ETC.:wi::wi:
Although it is a good way to see if the GPS is working
Speaking of which I am starting to figure out my new 276c.
I now know enough to see that Garmin has one over a barrel, once you purchase the unit.:shock:
These things only function on Garmin products and the biggest data card is 512mb.
Card runs about $150.
Iam probably not telling you/all something you don't already know.
Trip to Deadhorse/Inuvik is still a go. Might have to modify plans a little as Piglet has a tentative date with the DND. He may have to report to Chiliwach July 3rd.
However this is Govt Stuff. So your not there till your there.:?
Anyway April 1 is the date we put the machines on the road.
SOOO who has any good info on this Garmin 267 and any do/don't advise.

I've had a 276C for 3 years now and quite like the unit, though you did touch on the one sore point, the size and cost of memory. On the plus side, you can put alot on the 128 stick (thats what I have). I can with MetroCanada I can put all of the BC, the Yukon, NWT, and Alberta on it, plus add some areas from other map sets too. If you have the topo Canada mapset, it will take about 80% of BC.
If you have any other questions that I might know the answer to I'd be happy to help.

I have fallen into this GPS Abyss and the only way to dig myself out is to purchase the 512mb,or two, card.
I have order the cards and the topo Canada through GPS City in Calgary.
I already have the city Navigator but no cards.
So who knew:?

Hello Mr Blocker.
A crew will be leaving from the Kootenays about the first week in June.
You/all are welcome to ride with us. We will be taking in Inuvik on the return from
Prudhoe Bay. A member of our group has to be in Chilliwack first week in July.
We'll be going up through Cassiar then drop down into Skagway/Haienes .
Over to Valdeeze and follow the pipe line to Deadhorse.
Anyway we'll be pushing hard on the way up and cruising on the way back.

Canadian Bacon, thanks for the offer. I am going to Moab with SubMan and a few fellows from Nanimo and will not be back till June 1. So later in the month works for me. I am planning of leaving Vancouver June 17 or 18 and trying to go off road most of the way.
