yea I'm good with leaving it till next year, but if there are a few peoplebent ongoing, I may join in. Weather's not looking so good though, one more system at least to comethrough and water levels should be up a bit already.

Tried my new TM 760 tires out today, so cool to have traction in the wet stuff:clap: No more sliding round the corners :) a little wierd on the pavement though.

I will be back in town tomorrow evening and will check to see what is happening. I am easy either way and would also be keen to support Greg to make this trip. My lasting memory from last year is of Greg laughing, joking and continuing to ride with several broken bones. He is one tough guy:hb:

If Greg's KLR is still off the road I would be happy to explore locally.

I hear Terrace has been fairly damp this week?

Damp is an understatement. Mica wants to do the toy run but that sounds kinda boring to me. Where's the vids?

New tires would make all the difference this wet time of year Emerald. It's a new bike with dirt tires on her. I just put in Lucas oil last night. Apparently it's amazing, we'll see on that front.

I think that the ride is a no-go.

It's been raining long enough that the Skeena river is rising again. At a guess I'd say that we would be facing swollen streams, and we need to cross a few, and mud.

I think that I have learned my lesson and won't try to schedule any more rides so far in advance.:gaah:

Jesus...... a "no go":(

After all this build up:?

I say put your rain gear on and do the ride:wi:

I have been watching the thread and have done a little research on Telkwa Pass. I would do it anyhow, who cares about a little rain:spl:. We are dual sport riders :bliss:maybe a little crazy

Sorry to hear you are calling it off

Ahh it's all good Tom. Last year was a bit out of hand and it's a much nicer ride in the summer if we can get the gang together. Last year the day after we did it there was too much snow in the pass to go. This year who knows, there could already be snow. Been chilly way down here, so who knows way up there.

Proudman is your bike fixed yet or not? Ride this weekend if it is somewhere?

The rain has never been the problem. If there's one thing that us NxNWers know about, it's how to dress to be dry.

The swollen streams, mud, and maybe snow and ice, still have a tendency to slow us down.:censored:

That's not to say that we are through for the season. I got my bike back on the road yesterday so I'm good to go, and that means go anywhere . Dorothy and I went to PrinceRupert in her SUVtoday. Since it was her truck I wasn't driving and had lots of time to look around. There are a couple of places that seem to need further exploration.

A group of quads and Chuck and I went out the Copper River FSR this morning and we could not get through. Closed for construction at Km 12.5 or so.

This ride sounds interesting. I am on my way to Kitimat tomorrow for work and I will be coming up there every couple of months if our presentation goes well. It would be nice to take the ferry into Prince Rupert next summer with my KTM and do some riding.

Yup it's a cool ride, but in the summer it's actually warm. Keep your eye here and let us know and we can try and plan something.
