I got the stock 10L tank I get around 180km, I will also pack 1L pop bottles of gas in my backpack if I head out into new forests/trails.

I got just over 200km with the stock tank, and that was tipping to the left way far to get the gas on the other side. With the Clarke I have gone 380km between fillups.

I pulled the carb for the first time last week chasing a lean stutter under accel (found a bit of crap in the main jet), noted my main jet was a 132, stock is 142, so that could account for the mileage.

I'm not too old to learn how to ride for mileage. The Clarke tank is on and the experiment begins. If I don't keep you posted it's because I'm still walking home.

And thanks for the input!

I just did a loop from Gun Lake up to Mud Lakes and back to Gun Lake via the Yalakom River, plus a side trip or two. In all 230k of logging road, bush road, creek crossings, etc and still didn't get to the bottom of the Clarke tank. A DRZ400 with the stock tank made it 170km. I really need to gear this thing down though. What a merry-go-round.
