So it was such a nice day in town today( maybe 10deg and plenty of sun) we decided to head up to buddies' property at Campbell lake .
What a difference 20min of driving does for the weather. The sun was still shining but it was about -5 or so. The ice on the lake was purrrrrrfect.
When we got there there were tracks all over the bay .......... ends up Pete and Shane showed the girls some high speed lake driving the night before.... " Wasent that a party"
We broke out the xr80 and the old xr200 and hit the lake.
Even thow the trucks were on the lake the night before I still didn't like going out too far.
That old xr200 ...... man is that gutless. I took it out cuz I wasn't into wresseling the dr.
But it was still fun anyhow.
I even got ol-Petie to lace up on the old xr. He hit some prety good speed out there and when he hit one of the truck ruts he almost went down. All we saw was left leg, right leg, left leg....... hehehe it was prety funny:tup:
The lake is quite big in this bay and only about 5 to 8 feet deep. When Pete took his truch out later in the day he was hitting 100kph and doing some prety good side drifts:dr:
Connor loved it on the lake. Now he's talking bout studing up the tires and maybe heading to Stake lake to race !!
Mumma said " NO "
He headed out deep and did some speed tests on the 80.........did I mention the bikes are NOT studed up?
Daughter Jen got to do some skating on the small rink we made...and she made sure that I took her for a ride on the bike also.
After all that fun we stood arround the bonfire and had a few Silent Sam coffees and barley snacks
I had a few too many to drive so the 11 year old had to take his turn at the wheel.:hb:..........untill Mumma Joker said it was her turn.
Look . I think he is trying to get away !!:mad3:
All in all we had a verry verry goooooood day:tup:
Next year we will make a track out there, stud up the bikes and leave the trailer there................sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet:dr:
