My friend saw something in the window of City Biker on Hastings (probably an electric bycicle store) that looked like a dirtbike but is electric. A search on google turned up a few websites and it may be the "Zero X".

http://matadorpulse.com/the-electric-dirt-bike-plug-it-in-tear-it-up/ (huge jumps!)

I'm assuming all three websites are about the same bike, bc I've only heard about future bikes that never seem to be made. Says it can go 55 mph, 40 miles only per charge - takes 2 hours - and $3000 for a spare battery that allows more distance. Comparable to a WR 250....it can go 0-50 KPH in 2 seconds?

Anyone ever seen one? Could be good if you live near trails or for people who haul their bikes.

If it's the same one i saw on TV a month ago it seemed to be ok. It was designed by an ex NASA engineer. The battery technology he is using is his own invention. Not sure how it works but appaerently there wasn't anyenvironmentally harmful components to the Battery. They ran it against a Wr 250 in 4 or five tests. They were quite similar in all categories. The only issue they did have was the range of the battery but apparently that won't be a problem in the near future. Like anyhting else there are bound to be problems in the fledgeling years.
