Aree all drz 400e forks the same?

I know that the 400s forks in 2000-2001 were not as good, but what other suspension differences are there? are all e forks the same? 2000-2007? Going to buy a used bike soon and was looking at 2002 and newer because of the fork but now i'm figuring out that the e forks were better since 2000

You are correct.

The '00-'01 S model forks lacked certain adjustments / features.

The '00-'07 E and Kicker models, along with the '02-'07 S models all share the same forks (from mid-'90s RM models).

Nevertheless; I owned a 2000 S model, and found the forks to perform very well!

thanks that seems like a difinnative answer i was looking for. Is there no chance the 2000e fork changed for 2001?
