Thanks so much for the input Bubba!

Do we need reservations? I assume that's why you shared the number.

Is this a Provincial Park?

GSHighlander,
If you can't find one space for everyone and have to split up, I have room for a couple tents in my backyard and 3-4 people in the house, in Rossland. It's about an hour away from Nelson.

Thanks, sector!

We're very grateful for the offer. I'll keep you posted as to what we do as a lot is up in the air at the moment regarding camping and we're trying to get as close to Nelson as possible for our overnight stop.

What fun...but, seriously, thank you for the offer. We just might come knockin'!

That is a regional park and yes, it would require reservations but I doubt it has the same three day rule as Provincial Parks do. Best of luck ...

Sorry, Bubba, got another number for the place?

The one you provided is "no longer in service." Did they forget to pay their bill? :D

Hey Bubba:

I found the number and just called, and I think I have a line on a campground...not sure but my fingers are crossed for good luck. Kokanee Creek Park is what we're shooting for and I'm trying to reserve 15 to 20 campsites via email.

Kokanee Creek Park is one of the Provincial Campgrounds. I think you will find the same rules of having to book 3 nights over the long weekend ... but just maybe it is a private one that I have not heard of.

I have that same concern but I'm waiting for a response...again, with crossed fingers!

From following the ADV rider thread on this ride, I decided to put an update here. It looks like GSHighlander managed to score room at Toad Rock campground on Friday night (June 29th). The group will head out from there on Sat and end up in Kelowna where GSHighlander has again scored camping at the Summerhill Pyramid Winery.

They go on from there to Gold Bridge the next day with plans for dirt routes along the way. I am planning to join up with the group on Sat AM and camp at the winery in Kelowna returning to Rossland on Sunday. Here is an image of Sat's route. Hopefully GSHighlander will chime in and give whatever other updates he would like.

It has been stressed on the adv thread that this is not a parade. More of a suggestion of routes, and the only expectation is that you show up for the campfire that night. Sounds like fun to me :)

GSHighlander has the gps formatted files for this. However, I haven't gotten that sophisticated. To get an idea, here is an image of the Kelowna - Gold Bridge route.
