I'd also like to know if the 2010 450 & 510 TEs will be dual-sported from the factory... anyone know?

I do know that all the appropriate paperwork has been filed with Trans Canada so that all the 2010 TEs and SMs will be legit street legal. Just waiting for the stamp of approval.

That's awesome news. I am considering either a 310 or 450 to complement my TE610. Looking for a street-legal dirt bike for riding tighter trails as well as doing a few hare scrambles.

330 lbs???

I thought that too.

Hopefully an aftermarket single can exhaust would reduce that 315. I wonder if the 610 header would fit it?

Chatter on other websites mention claims of Husky marketing the 630 as an alternative to the bigger ADV bikes. I look at it as the G650X 'replacement'. That being the case, at 330lbs it would be considered a lightweight. Furthermore, like North said, converting to a 2-into-1 exhaust would likely bring the 630 within 10lbs of the 610, with 25% more power.

Has anyone heard if this is close to being finalized? I am extremely interested in a TE450 that can be plated with full Transport Canada certification.

The paperwork has been submitted and all criteria has been met. Just waiting for the rubber stamp of approval. Hopefully things will be official by Jan 1/10.

I went out for dinner with Thomas Moser last year at the Atlanta Dealer Meeting. Super nice guy who lived in Toronto for a couple of years when he was working at BMW Canada. He is most of the reason that Canada gets it own Dist. He feels that Can and US are very different markets and that we should be run by CDNs, not by the guys in the US.
