Just got back from my first real ride on the BMW 450. All I can say is WOW!:dr: I was really impressed with the over all ride. Suspension kicks butt and the power, well scary. I can't say enough about how this bike feels and handles, it is just simply great. It really seems to hug the trail and road. Getting up on the foot pegs just makes it stick to the ground. Everyone was telling me how the seat is so hard that it would be awfull but in fact it didn't give me the pain I was expecting, in fact after about 4 1/2 hours in the saddle I would say it was no better and no worse than either the DRZ or the 610. Those of you that know me, know I have a slightly higher than normal pounds per square inch in the seat deaprtment, so I found this quite amazing. I did have a few interesting moments...like running out of gas after only 85 kms and having Mark on the Husky threaten to come back and tow me out because the bike just stalled at one point fairly early in the day and then just didn't want to turn over using the starter. Hans and Frans (you know who you are...) helped me push and bump start it and it ran great the rest of the day so no real hardship other than the sweating of Hans and Frans.
