It looks like I'll be going to the Loose Screw, and I'd be into doing the B route with you Toby. The B route at the Dead Zone was fantastic -- just the right mix of scenic and challenging.

That was a bad week. I hope that everyone is recovering alright. And my condolences on your Uncle passing away.

We should all thank Phoenix(Alex) He has dedicated his sunday's for the past few Years to promote "Casual Dualsport rides" and bring New members and seasoned Members to gather at Bruce's. Out of respect for his dedication we should all "post up"by Saturday night!(I too just show up when I can..thats wrong!) It's not really fair to Alex not knowing who or how manywill show and what kind of day/ride to plan or organise and how to prep. Some want to explore and concour mountains some like to take it easy and just enjoy a 3-4 hour local ride and some just like to catch up on bull over Breaky!

Again Thank you very much Alex, your dedication and your efforts are outstanding and you should get a DSBC medal or some recognition!

Thanks for the kind words. I have enjoyed meeting all who have come out to Bruces. Many have come out andenjoyed the local rides and found others withlike riding ideas and skills or thatthey need or want a different bike;). I personally have reached a point with my DR650 where I prefer less rigorous rides( no new bike on the immediate horizon, but Christmas is coming). The Breaky thread will continue so others can discover some of the local areas and find common ground on ahobby we enjoy and wish to coninue with despite increasing pressure to eliminateriding areas. Bruces Breaky isfrequented by the locals but is open to all, drop by just to say hi, talk about dualsporting, participate in a ride or suggest one. Above all it's a casual gathering.

Cheers, Alex.

P.S. will be starting a new Breaky thread for the fall months, less heat less dust:clap:.

Indeed phoenix is a great guy, he even puts up with me when I come out to ride. He seems to know where everything is and always sets a good pace/ride for the group that shows up.

Seriously man, you rock.

Hey vexorg..Being a site admin, could you see about getting Mr Phoenix an honorary"5th star" over his avatar? That would make him feel special..:dude:

Yes, Phoenix was the first DSBC'er I met and rode with, also. I actually got him out on a weeknight ride, Hoover Lake!

Introduced me to Bruces breakfast too.
