Chilcotin Area: Access from Henry's Crossing to Nemiah via Tsuniah Road?

Hi folks.

I did a search the all the info I could find was over 5 years old.

I know the Nemiah 1st Nations have control over that area now and in the past the road has been closed to protect the grizzly bears from September 01 to October 31, (or is the closure really to benefit the commercial grizzly viewing business, hmmmm...).

Our bikes are licensed so the Parks non-licensed motor vehicle closure does not apply.

Can one still ride from Henry's Bridge through to the Nemiah reserve past Tsuniah Lake?

Also, is the gas station still working at the Nemiah reserve?

Thanks in advance!

I completed that loop in 2022. No issues. You may want to phone ahead and make sure the Nemiah gas station is open on your travel day.

Hi Steam , thanks for the additional intel!

Were you riding the 525, that's a very capable bike!

We have somewhat capable bikes as well (WR250, CRF250L, Himalayan 410 and CB500x), but the riders not so much! 🤔

ya, I ride the 525 but my friend rides a big adventure bike and has completed this loop multiple times. You will have no problem on those bikes.

So we had a great ride!

Started out a bit sketchy past Henry’s xing as it had rained so it was a slick fest!

Just kept the power up and the feet out a couple of times, then the sun came out at Tsunia Lake and it was glorious all the way back to Tatla Lake Rec Site.

Nemiah gas station was closed but we were packing enough fuel, I ran out after 300km right at the Redstone gas starion.

When did you do the ride?
